Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has made a passionate appeal to Kenyans to prioritize dialogue and consultation as the primary means of resolving national challenges. He emphasized that violence, chaos, and incitement can only derail the country’s progress. Speaking during the Economic Empowerment Forum for Women Groups and Saccos held at Mkunguni Grounds in Lamu West, the DP urged citizens to embrace peaceful methods of expressing grievances.

Kindiki stressed that no meaningful development can be achieved in an environment of instability. He noted that Kenya’s future depends on how its people choose to handle disagreements, stating that peaceful engagement fosters unity and accelerates growth. “We cannot build this country through destruction and lawlessness,” he said, urging fellow citizens to resist any form of incitement or provocation into unrest.

He reaffirmed that every Kenyan has the right to express their views and discontent, but insisted that this must be done in a respectful and non-violent manner. According to him, there is nothing more valuable than the peace and stability of the nation, and all efforts must be directed towards protecting that foundation. He reminded the public that dialogue remains the most effective tool for finding lasting solutions to any form of discontent.

During the forum, Kindiki cautioned those plotting disorder and chaos, warning that such actions only serve to destroy the country rather than solve any problem. He appealed to such groups to reconsider their strategies and adopt peaceful approaches instead. His sentiments echoed the government’s broader stance on upholding peace and discouraging any behavior that could plunge the nation into turmoil.

The DP’s remarks came as he concluded a series of empowerment forums across the five coastal counties: Tana River, Taita Taveta, Kilifi, Mombasa, and Lamu. He used the occasion to highlight the government’s development agenda and promised continued investment in infrastructure and social programs aimed at transforming lives. Kindiki affirmed that President Ruto’s administration is committed to equitable development across all regions.

He further explained that the development being witnessed under President Ruto’s leadership is not rhetorical, but tangible. He cited the construction of over 400 modern markets during the first term and pledged that 2,000 more would be built in the second term. He also pointed out that regions such as Lamu East had, for the first time, benefited from a tarmacked road, promising that more roads would follow.

Kindiki emphasized that no Kenyan should be denied development based on their region, tribe, or background. He insisted that all citizens have equal rights to access government services and benefits. Discriminatory tendencies, he stated, have no place in the current administration. He cited the reforms in the issuance of national IDs as a testament to inclusivity and fairness.

The Deputy President also took a swipe at the opposition, accusing them of lacking a clear and constructive agenda. He criticized their reliance on slogans such as “Ruto Must Go” without offering any viable alternatives for national advancement. He encouraged Kenyans not to be misled by empty rhetoric and urged them to support leaders who work towards their welfare.

In conclusion, Kindiki called for unity, peace, and constructive engagement among Kenyans, emphasizing that national stability and prosperity depend on cooperation and mutual respect.
