Grace Njoki Arrested for Disturbance After Press Briefing Incident
Grace Njoki, one of the women involved in the disruption of a press briefing by Health Cabinet Secretary Dr. Deborah Barasa at Afya House last week, has been arrested for causing a disturbance. Njoki, 61, was detained at Capitol Hill Police Station, formerly Nairobi Area, after she was apprehended while seeking medical treatment at a hospital in Eastleigh.
Earlier, Njokis son, George Mulei, had raised alarm, claiming that his mother had been abducted while she was at Ladnan Hospital in Nairobi, where she had been applying for knee surgery. Authorities, however, confirmed her arrest following the disturbance during the press briefing.
The incident has sparked significant attention, with many questioning the circumstances surrounding her arrest and the claims made by her son.
