Kenya Power’s May 2025 Industrial Attachment Program offers students hands-on experience in technical, non-technical, and craft certificate fields for three months (May–July 2025). Participants will gain practical skills, workplace exposure, and mentorship while working in engineering, business, finance, and administration. Eligible students must be currently enrolled in a relevant course and provide an institutional introduction letter. Kenya Power Industrial Attachment – May 2025 Intake
Kenya Power has announced its industrial attachment program for May 2025, offering students an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various departments. This initiative is part of the company’s commitment to youth empowerment by helping students transition from academic studies to the professional world. The attachment program will run for three months, from May to July 2025, and will be available in different fields, including technical and non-technical disciplines.

Available Attachment Categories
Kenya Power has categorized its industrial attachment program into three major areas:
1. Technical Attachments – This category is open to students pursuing degrees, diplomas, or craft certificates in technical fields.
2. Non-Technical Attachments – Designed for students pursuing degrees or diplomas in non-technical fields such as business, finance, and human resources.
3. Craft Certificate Attachments – Targeted at students in specific craft certificate programs, including Electrical & Electronics Engineering (Power Option), Mechanical/Automotive Engineering, Building & Civil Engineering, and Plumbing.
Job Descriptions and Responsibilities
1. Technical Attachment (Degree & Diploma)
Students in the technical attachment category will work in engineering and related fields, gaining hands-on experience in electrical and mechanical systems. Their main responsibilities include assisting with the inspection, installation, and maintenance of power systems, power lines, and substations. They will also participate in project planning and execution while working under the guidance of experienced engineers. Other duties include conducting technical data analysis for project reports and troubleshooting technical issues to improve system operations. Additionally, students will collaborate with engineering teams to ensure the efficient functioning of electrical and mechanical systems.
Qualifications:
Must be currently enrolled in a recognized institution pursuing a Bachelors Degree or Diploma in a technical field.
Must provide a valid introduction letter from their institution.
Must be available for a full-time three-month attachment.
2. Non-Technical Attachment (Degree & Diploma)
Students in non-technical fields will have the opportunity to work in administrative and business-related roles within Kenya Power. Their tasks include handling various administrative responsibilities such as data management, report writing, and documentation. They will also assist in project coordination, ensuring that activities follow schedules and deadlines. Other duties involve conducting research and analysis to enhance operational efficiency, as well as participating in customer service, marketing, and communication initiatives. Additionally, students will assist with procurement, financial analysis, and inventory management, gaining valuable exposure to the corporate environment.
Qualifications:
Must be a continuing student pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in a non-technical field at an accredited institution.
Must provide a valid introduction letter from their institution.
Must be available full-time for the duration of the attachment.
3. Craft Certificate Attachment
The craft certificate attachment program is aimed at students enrolled in specialized technical courses. These students will be involved in technical fieldwork activities, including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and construction tasks. They will also participate in the maintenance and repair of electrical systems, machinery, and civil structures. Other responsibilities include supporting site inspections, ensuring quality control, and assisting in safety compliance measures. Additionally, students will help with logistics, materials handling, and resource allocation for various projects. They will also gain hands-on experience in troubleshooting and resolving technical challenges in real-world scenarios.
Qualifications:
Must be a continuing student pursuing a Craft Certificate in Electrical & Electronics Engineering (Power Option), Mechanical/Automotive Engineering, Building & Civil Engineering, or Plumbing.
