Ruto Braves Heavy Rains in Kamureito, Bomet, as He Launches Roads and Last-Mile Connectivity Projects
President Ruto 's second day visit to Bomet was marked by a lot of blessings as it started raining that it rained on the president as he was addressing the residents of Kamureito.Many leaders and residents thanked the president for the good work that he had done .

President William Samoei Ruto second visit to Bomet on the 10 th of September 2026 has been marked by a lot of joy.The residents of Kamureito were overjoyed since the president came with rain and with most of the people are farmer's they are benefiting from the rain since their crops will grow well.As he started his visit to Kamureito it started raining and didn't stop the netizens from attending the function,they were so happy to see the president .They said that since they were young ,the roads had not been constructed in some areas,now with president Ruto's road projects , there's connectivity in the area.He said that he didn't overpromise in the 2022 election manifesto on what we as a nation would achieve as an administration. He had promised what he knew he would deliver.

 

Over the past three years, he has delivered on our promises and transformed our nation. That transformation is visible and being felt across the country.

 

 

 

"The people of Kenya won't allow the opposition to take the country backwards. Their lack of a track record, an agenda and a vision for Kenya’s development is a threat to the progress we have made as a nation," says The president of the Republic of Kenya.

 

He stated that a budget of 19 billion has been set for roads with the county.This will enable the maintaining and rebuilding of roads within the county since most of the roads connecting the region have been damaged due to the conditions of the soil.

 

He stated that now farmers have market ,they can sell their produce and get a lot of profit.Farmers in Bomet grow tea,coffee, sugarcane and maize.With the fertilizers having been subsidized, it's now easier for farmers to grow crops .

He stated that his government is working to connect many family homes with electricity .The budget for electricity is estimated to be 2.5 million in Bomet County.For many years,many residents of Bomet did not have electricity and now with president Ruto's project there will be joy in many family homes.This will enable good trade within the county .Many residents of Bomet are dairy farmers therefore with the lack of milk,farmers are benefitting greatly.

 

Many residents were excited for the commissioning of Dr Joyce Laboso Mother and Child ,the president promised to give an estimated amount of 3.2 billion for the improvement of health within the county of Bomet.This will enable the development of hospitals and dispensary.

 

Education wise, students were not left behind,180,000 students to be built for hostels.This will help students in higher institutions in Bomet county.

 

Many leaders were present including The governor of Bomet County, Professor Hillary Barchok,the senator of Bomet County Hillary Sigei,the woman representative of Bomet County Linet Chepkorir,,the area member of parliament , Cabinet Secretary Davis Chirchir amongst other South Rift leaders.

 

The senator of Bomet ,Hillary Sigei, alias "toploya", asked the president to remember the schools that are around Kamureito in terms of equipment and empowerment of the school.The women representative of Bomet County,Linet Chepkorir , alias "toto",requested the president to remember the women empowerment groups and to construct coolers since most of the people in Bomet are dairy farmers.Many other leaders talked and thanked the president for the projects that he has launched saying that the projects have helped the people of Bomet greatly.

 

A controversial video recorded during President Ruto's visit to Kamureito was about Sotik member of parliament ,Ambassador Francis Sigei,who welcomed the president and accidentally said 'oneterm' yet he was expressing two fingers meaning two term.The video has sparked a lot of criticism and discussion that the member of parliament had to call the press to apologize for the slip of the tongue saying that he was overjoyed to see and welcome the president to Sotik that he got overwhelmed.

 

He asked the residents to be registered for the Independent Electrol and Boundaries Commission as voters . Additionally he urged them to get their Identity Cards so that they would be able to register for the Independent Electrol and Boundaries Commission coming year 2027.

 

With the new roads being built many people praised the president for the good projects he has done.

 

Commissioned the completed 18km Chebole-Kiplokyi-Kapkoros road in Sotik Constituency, Bomet County. Also launched the construction of the 28km Kipsonoi-Kamureito-Kapkelei road in the same constituency.6 kilometres to be completed by the month of December.

Most of the teachers in Bomet County have been absorbed by the Teachers Service Commission and the government has worked to improve education .

 

The president said that as a country we should work together to make the nation proud.He also added that as citizens we should engage in politics that fight for discrimination and tribalism.We should strive to make the country great to become a first world Country.
