Shock gripped Rurii village last Friday when eight stolen donkeys were discovered slaughtered at the New Rurii Apostolic Church compound. Miriam Njagi, the owner of the animals, said they were taken during the early morning hours while the family slept, resulting in a loss valued at Ksh.136,000.
