Wiper Patriotic Front leader Kalonzo Musyoka has ruled out the possibility of working with President William Ruto ahead of the 2027 General Election, maintaining that they will face each other at the ballot.

Speaking at the SKM Command Centre in Karen, Nairobi, after a meeting with members of the Linda Mwananchi movement, Kalonzo dismissed reports linking him to a possible alliance with the President. He claimed that attempts had been made to persuade him to join the Kenya Kwanza administration but reiterated his commitment to the opposition.

Kalonzo urged members of the Linda Mwananchi movement to remain united and continue mobilising support, stressing that opposition cohesion would be critical in the run-up to the 2027 polls.

He also announced that leaders of the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya coalition will meet on Monday to deliberate on the alliance's next political steps, adding that the coalition remains open to engaging the Linda Mwananchi movement once its registration process is complete.

His remarks came a day after the Wiper Patriotic Front reaffirmed its support for Kalonzo, dismissing reports of any negotiations with President Ruto over a possible political partnership ahead of the 2027 General Election.
