Mumias East MP Peter Salasya has once again opened up about his spiritual side, sharing how faith has influenced his life.
In a recent post, the outspoken legislator shared a video of a woman giving a testimony in church, accompanied by a heartfelt caption about his deep connection to worship.
“That background worship when I am in a church is my best moment. It moves me deeply, making me emotional and bringing tears to my eyes as I reflect on my life’s journey,” he expressed.
Salasya acknowledged that while he does not attend church frequently, he firmly believes in God’s protection. “I know in my heart that I rarely go to church, but God, you are my fortress,” he wrote.
He also referenced a Bible verse, stating, “You shall walk through the valley of death, but nothing shall harm you… no scorpions will bite, and instead, you shall walk in green pastures.”
This is not the first time the MP has spoken about his faith. In September 2024, he shared photos of a car wreckage from an accident he survived during his election campaigns. Recalling the incident, he described how he called on Jesus when the vehicle lost control.
“When the car lost control, I began calling upon the blood of Jesus loudly. Just when all hope seemed lost, something happened instantly—the car struck a big tree,” he recounted.
Salasya said the experience changed him, and since then, he never leaves his house without saying a personal prayer.
Earlier in the year, he also posted a video of himself playing the guitar and singing along to CeCe Winans Goodness of God. In the caption, he described himself as a passionate music lover and a “powerful worshipper.”
“People will never truly understand me unless they are spiritual,” he remarked.
Known for his bold and often controversial statements, Salasya continues to surprise many with his reflections.
