Embu, February 1, 2025 – Disturbing dashcam footage has emerged, showing the tragic final moments before a fatal crash between a Probox vehicle, allegedly transporting muguka, and a lorry on the Embu-Meru highway.
The footage, recorded by a nearby vehicle, captures the Probox swerving suddenly before colliding with the oncoming lorry. The crash, which occurred during the early morning hours, resulted in the death of the Probox driver, while the lorry driver sustained injuries.
The authorities have confirmed the Probox was carrying a significant load of muguka, though investigations are still ongoing to determine whether the driver’s speed, road conditions, or other factors played a role in the crash.
The lorry driver was rushed to a nearby hospital, where they are currently receiving treatment. Local law enforcement has urged motorists to remain vigilant and cautious, especially on the Embu-Meru highway, known for its challenging terrain.
