Electracomplex and Oedipus complex
Electracomplex in girls and Oedipus complex in boys.

Oedipus complex and electracomplex are terms founded by Sigmund Freud who majored his studies in the field of Psychology. He stated that these two complexes occurs during the phallic stage, which is a psychosexual stage.Phallic stage occurs between the age of three years to the age of six years.

Electracomplex refers to the girls attractions to the father during the age of three to six years.During this stage, the girl feel secure when with her father. If a girl misses to experience electracomplex, fixations can lead to daddy issues in future.Upon realization that the fathers have penis, girls then develop penis envy.

Oedipus complex on the other hand is the boys attraction to their mothers. When boys realize that their mothers lack penis, they tend to develop womb envy. This is envy towards the reproductive system and womb of women.Boys respond to this mainly by pocketing.

The above complexes are very fundamental in growth and development of human beings and each and every child need to experience them.It is brought clearly that the caregivers and parents should have to understand these complexes inorder for them to handle children in a positive manner as they adopt positive parenting styles.
