Kalonzo Musyoka and Rigathi Gachagua have launched a united opposition front aimed at defeating President Ruto in 2027. The Tseikuru meeting saw top leaders rally behind Kalonzo’s presidential bid and call for IEBC reforms. Youth were urged to register as voters as the opposition warned against election rigging and political intimidation.

Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka and former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua have unveiled a united opposition front, vowing to unseat President William Ruto in the 2027 General Election. Speaking during a high-stakes political rally at Kalonzo’s Tseikuru home in Kitui County, the leaders declared an end to fragmented opposition politics, promising a single formidable presidential candidate.

Kalonzo warned the Kenya Kwanza administration against election rigging and political intimidation, stressing the need for electoral justice and urgent IEBC reforms. He also urged youth to register as voters, framing 2027 as a battle for Kenya’s future.

“If you dare arrest Gachagua, you provoke the people,” Kalonzo warned, signaling fierce resistance to state crackdown on opposition leaders.

Gachagua affirmed his support for Kalonzo, urging unity among opposition parties and calling on the Kamba community to rally behind the new coalition. Former Speaker Justin Muturi, Eugene Wamalwa, and several Ukambani leaders backed Kalonzos bid, demanding an end to state oppression and misuse of public institutions.

Machakos Governor Wavinya Ndeti led local leaders in declaring full support for Kalonzo’s presidential run, asserting that the Kamba community will no longer be sidelined.

The Tseikuru Declaration signals a major shift in Kenya’s political landscape ahead of 2027.
