Passaris Slams Online Bullies Targeting Women Leaders
Nairobi Woman Representative Esther Passaris has condemned the rising online abuse against women leaders. She called for respect, urging Kenyans to reflect on their values. Despite personal attacks, Passaris vowed to stay committed to public service.
Nairobi Woman Representative Esther Passaris has strongly condemned the escalating online attacks against women in leadership. In a statement shared on her X platform, Passaris urged men who insult women leaders to reflect on the respect they owe the women in their lives, emphasizing that the dignity of a nation is measured by how it treats its women.
Passaris remarks came shortly after addressing a surge of personal online abuse. She revealed that individuals had even gone as far as leaking her private contacts to harass and disrupt her peace. Despite the attacks, she firmly stated that such negativity would not deter her commitment to serving the public.
Highlighting the emotional toll of cyberbullying, Passaris reassured her supporters that the malicious few cannot overshadow the respectful majority. “Empty debes make the most noise," she said, underlining her belief that true national progress is built on service, not online mockery.
Passaris, no stranger to online backlash, has previously faced ethnic profiling and criticism for her stance on social issues. Through it all, she has consistently called for unity, respect, and a shift away from hate-driven narratives, urging Kenyans to focus on building rather than tearing down.
