The long awaited CHAN is here Kenya marking historical moments as they host on of the biggest fotball match .
This is going to improve economy of the country since visitors across the East Africa region will be there.

The match tickets for Kenya’s opening game, at African Nations Championships [CHAN 2024] agaisnt DR Congo are sold out, six days before the match.

This comes days after the Local Organising Committee (LOC) chair Nicholas Musonye stated that there will be no ticket sales on match days during the competition or on the gates citing that the earlier the better, a move that was put in place to enhance crowd control and overall match security during matches.

The quick selling out of the matches is a statement of just how highly the tournament is being anticipated by fans around the country and the continent alike. Highest number of funs from Kenya are expected to turn up for the tournament and cheers their national team Harambee stars.

The game will be taking place at the Moi International Sports Centre Kasarani in Nairobi this Sunday, from 3pm Kenyan time.Tickets Retail at Ksh200 per person for the regular with VIP tickets going for Ksh500 and Ksh1000 for the VVIP tickets.

CS Mvurya had earlier urged football fans around the continent to turn up in large numbers to support their teams assuring them of their safety.

At the same time CAF Secretary General Veron Mosengo  had also urged Kenyans to embrace the Pamoja spirit and turn up in numbers for their country to set a good example as the hosts as part of their bid to host AFCON 2027.
Where by three countries will be hosting the African cup of nation.

President William Ruto last week inspected kasarani  Stadium on Wednesday and welcome all the participants.He also wish all the best our national team as they prepare to represent the country During the CHAN 2024 tournament.

This comes days after the interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen assures the visitors and the local that the security team with the ministry of sports will be working hand in hand to ensure peace is maintained in the country and also in the football pitches.

Kasarani Stadium will be hosting all of Kenya’s group games with Nyayo stadium to be used as an alternative.Kenya’s next game will be against Angola with tickets going on sale on July 29 2025 from 0000hrs [midnight].
