Arsenal sign defender Mosquera from Valencia
Cristhian Mosquera is regarded as one of the leading young defenders in Europe
A statement released by Arsenal claims the signing of Cristhian Mosquera as a defender which Arsenal claims to be one of the strongest young defenders in the European football after the signing of Mosquera by Arsenal to Valencia in an initial transfer fee in the order of 15m euros (13m pounds).
The 21-year old has come into the gunners on a five year contract that will have the option of another 12 months.
Mosquera likes to play at centre-back and right-back and will be a replacement who exits has taken place earlier this month, Takehiro Tomiyasu who has mutually agreed an end of contract termination.

Ernesto Valverde was a Spain Under-21 international who signed with Valencia in 2016 at the age of 12 and made his debut in the first team in 2022, when he became the youngest centre-back ever to have played in the club.
Mosquera is a 90-time player of Valencia and regularly played in the side last season, completing 37 of Valencia 38 La Liga games as they lap at 12th place.
Manager Mikel Arteta states Mosquera is a player with exciting talent and massive potential whilst the sporting director Andrea Berta spoke of the long-term potential of that defender.
