Presidents Félix Tshisekedi of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and Paul Kagame of Rwanda have confirmed their participation in a high-level joint meeting organized by the Southern African Development Community (SADC) and the East African Community (EAC). The meeting, scheduled for Friday and Saturday, will focus on finding a resolution to the ongoing conflict in Eastern DRC, a region plagued by armed groups and tensions between the two neighboring nations.

The gathering aims to facilitate dialogue and explore solutions to the escalating violence in the region, which has affected thousands of civilians and displaced many. Both leaders are expected to engage with other regional leaders to strengthen diplomatic efforts and discuss collaborative strategies to bring stability and peace to the volatile area. The outcome of the discussions could have significant implications for the long-term security and cooperation between DRC and Rwanda.
