KRA to open their new office in Eastleigh to enhance the services
The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) has confirmed its commitment to strengthening cooperation with business communities across the country, through strategic partnerships made between the KRA board and the Eastleigh Business District Association (EBDA).

The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) has confirmed its commitment to strengthening cooperation with business communities across the country, through strategic partnerships made between the KRA board and the Eastleigh Business District Association (EBDA). The engagement, led by KRA board chairman Ndiritu Muriithi, brought together the KRAs senior leadership and representatives from the EBDA to discuss tax compliance, business simplification, and support for the growth of Eastleighs commercial system. 

Addressing during the talks, Muriithi announced fully  plans to open a fully functioning KRA permanent office in Eastleigh in September 2025, a  great move that is expected to bring KRA services closer to the business community, improve taxpayer convenience and increase voluntary compliance. The chairman of the board emphasized that taxes are a necessary requirement for any nation as they stimulate and finance the government. "At KRA, we e committed to making it easier and easier for taxpayers to comply.

 Eastleighs contribution to the economy is invaluable, and we are determined to support your growth through organized, responsive, and respectful cooperation," she confirmed. Muriithi also encouraged the business community to collaborate with other Government agencies for strategic support and growth of the business community very well without any challenges . Concurrently, the Eastleigh District Business Association (EBDA), which has advocated for business development policy since 1990, welcomed the sign and committed to further collaboration with the KRA. "KRA is an important stakeholder for the party," confirmed EBDA Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Mohamed Mero. 

"We are interested in working together through sustainable dialogue, tax education councils and tax incentives advocacy that support our business community." Attending was Mandera County Deputy Governor Dr Ali Maalim Mohamud who stressed the need for further reforms targeted by changes within the expansion of tax-based tax policy, partnerships and mutual responsibility. Similarly, the KRA and EBDA agreed to establish a framework for organized cooperation to facilitate regular consultation, feedback, and resolution of business-related tax issues. 

At the same time, as part of its modern agenda, KRA continues to invest in technology and build capacity to improve service delivery and taxpayer experience across all sectors in the country without failing in any way. Furthermore, the tax chief continues his agenda of service expansion to bring services more and more closer to the people, so in the last fiscal year of 2024/2025, KRA offices operated in Flower, All, Chuka, Eldama Ravine, Iten, Kapenguria, Lodwar, Malaba, Homabay, Migori, Siaya, Kakuma, Kainuk and Tana River.
