Senate Majority Leader Aaron Cheruiyot has emerged vigorously defending Deputy President Kithure Kindiki for his national visits to empower the people. Ignoring the criticism of the program, Cheruiyot cut off the root of the difficulty of his opponents, as unrelated scholars and the realities who reject efforts to raise the economy of ordinary Kenyans.

While urging the court to take the voice of ordinary Kenyans in a petition filed in the High Court calling for officials leading the request to be held accountable for the funds. Kindiki and several other of Kenyan leaders were first named as defendants in the case. According to strikers, the money raised, which reached more than Sh100 million in a few months, is not planned. Speaking at the Baringo Empowerment event, Cheruiyot criticized leaders who suspect the amount of money that Kindiki gives, saying the Vice President only gives what he can afford.

"I see some say that Kindiki is going around giving each other a little money, I don know sixty shillings," he said. "He gives one another. If you are, if you are too many, don you give it?" (I hear some say Kindiki walks offer a small amount of money - sixty shillings or anything. He gives what he can. "So far there have been those who have gone to court to say that this empowerment program should not be suspended.

The Senate majority leader has told the courts that when they are hearing such cases, they are just to listen to these Nairobi brokers. Come to the grassroots and hear from citizens if they want the program or not.

Cheruiyots pronunciation comes at the center of the growing debate on the transparency and structure of the Kindiki Empowerment Program, which is involved in providing direct financial support to women and youth groups across the country.

For the last three months, the Deputy President has been leading other leaders across the country in empowerment, whereby several groups benefit from the money that the leaders contribute. Also, President William Ruto has been supporting the ongoing empowerment of DP Kindiki, giving out President Rutos money on his behalf.

Some of the opposition leaders in the country have been really opposing the program, citing loop holes in the government, urging that the transparency of the money should be made public to know exactly where such millions of money come from. Insisting that oversight bodies like EACC should intervene to save the country.
