Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya electrified towns across Western Kenya on Monday, declaring himself a "general and a commando" leading a fearless movement. Making his way to Kitale after his recent arrest, Natembeya received a heroic welcome, telling crowds he would not be intimidated by political attacks or legal hurdles.

Joined by Roots Party leader George Wajackoyah in Kakamega, the two leaders cruised through the streets together, drawing huge crowds. Unlike the chaos witnessed just days earlier—when police disrupted a DCP rally in the same town—Natembeyas procession passed peacefully, with roadside rallies held in Vihiga, Bungoma, and Kakamega counties.

Addressing residents, Natembeya lamented the marginalization of the Western region, saying, “Our people are educated, yet we’re sidelined in public jobs. We are carried in wheelbarrows while others arrive in lorries.” He vowed that his Tawe Movement would fight injustice and revive dying sectors like Mumias and Nzoia sugar companies.

Fresh from his court appearance where he denied corruption charges, Natembeya is expected to lead a massive homecoming rally in Kitale. Supported by several opposition leaders, he promises a renewed push for unity, economic empowerment, and justice across the region.
